I am starting this blog to document my journey to more of a healthy diet. I have always been focused on eating healthy and have been an advocate of choosing ‘natural’ foods over processed foods. I have been blogging my recipes at indusinternationalkitchen.com for the last two years. My husband and I love cooking and we also love to try making foods from different cuisines in our kitchen. We have always tried to balance meat with lots of vegetables and fruits.
However, things changed slightly for me last year when I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid arthritis which is an auto-immune disease where your immune system attacks its own joints. Since the medications that are used to treat this disease have several side effects, over the last couple months I have been trying to research regarding diets that can help me fight this disease better. Dairy being known to aggravate inflammation, I am trying to completely avoid dairy now. I therefore created this new space to document my vegan recipes although I am not a vegan.
